Recognitions

Among the most outstanding dancers is Adrianita Ávila Molina, a worldwide salsa ambassador with significant participations such as World of Dance, gold medalist at the World Games Word Game 2013, Champion of the World Salsa Congress ‘World Salsa Open’ in Puerto Rico in two consecutive years: 2015 and 2016. She also won the silver medal at the World Games Wroclaw 2017, and currently holds the title of World Salsa Champion in the 2023 edition in the Elite Couple On1/On2 category. In the recent Departmental Games held in November 2023, athletes Nathalia Ávila Molina and Julián Andrés Ramírez officially won four gold medals in sports dance, Latin rhythms, and salsa for Cali, both dancers from the Imperio club. Currently, Imperio is the champion of the World Salsa Festival in the Ensemble and Youth Amateur Group categories. Imperio has trained ambassador dancers around the world, who have carried our legacy forward as leaders in supporting the community with an alternative and inclusive space for the exploration of sports, artistic, and cultural talents.
